This place is LEGIT!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wow - like super satisfying, comforting, and delicious. I'm still thinking about it many days later and wishing I could tried more of the menu.

so this place is located inside the market, there is seating for ~20 by where you order dedicated for revolve. There is also seating outside the market too with picnic tables.

It's fast casual style. Order and pay, and then they give u the food. Or if it's a bit more time to prep, they bring the food to you.

    * burnt end burger: it's perfection. So creative. So well balanced. Love love love the kimchi style pickle that was heat sweet and tart - cuts through all the fatty goodness from the meat. The slaw was also crunchy and flavorful. The bread complimented the middle texture and flavors, and was able to hold it all the food stuff inside with each bite. the burger just tasted very unique and original.

Visited this place on a Thursday after taking a 1/2 day off of work to meet up with Family that was visiting from out of state. My uncle is a meat lover, and smoker/griller. He is a BBQ/Meat Judge for fairs and festivals around the States. So he was excited to try this place out.

My Cousin loves meat as well so she really wanted to check this place, out. Myself, well I'm glad they had the Jackfruit Sandwich. I no longer eat Fowl or Beast.

This was the first time I was trying Jackfruit, and I heard a lot of delicious things about it. I have to admit, it didn't take show I thought it would, but it was so yummy!

This restaurant place is kind of like a food court set up. There are other shops and restaurants inside the Keg and Case. There was a cool shop that sold Mushrooms and showed all of the different ones growing as they are grown in house it looked like.

Overall, I'm glad I got to try this establishment out. Would I come here again, maybe if I was with another huge meat eater, but if it was just me, probably not. The service was great, they answered all of my uncles BBQ/Meat questions, and it was fast.

Rock solid slow and low is now available at the Keg & Case Food Hall on West 7th in downtown Saint Paul.

Revival Smoked Meats is an interesting abbreviated version of their brick and mortar restaurant that fuses the South and the Midwest with genuine Carolina Barbecue cooked over fire (or smoked) while offering a broad spectrum of classic Minnesotan components. Sounds crazy, right? Crazy like a fox.

The menu is small and focused but what the do offer they do well and they have no cap on the amount you may purchase. So if you're looking for house-smoked Ham or Brisket or Pastrami, you can step up and order a butcher-paper wrapped parcel, from 1/2 lb. to their limits of supply. Good to know during the holidays if you are a local but if you are visiting the Cities like I was, you will be stoked to learn that you can just as easily order up a sandwich and a drink.

I will start with the must: Revival's Burnt Ends Chili - or as I like to call it - the best Chili in Minnesota. At $7.00 this is the best value on the menu as the portions are enough for two and the Chili is loaded to the hilt with huge, luscious chunks of perfectly smoked Burnt Ends that are bursting with smoke flavor and melt in your mouth like a perfectly prepared Pot Roast. Sure, the recipe is spicy and you will need to take breaks but the seasoning mix is authentic as you will find anywhere. Superb.

The Brisket Sandwich, on the other hand, was nearly decent. The bark and smoke ring was spot on and there was an unquestionable amount of smokiness imparted into the meat but it was rather dry and overly fatty for my taste. I must have cut off 3 ounces of excess fat. Another complaint I had was about the slaw on the sandwich. It really did not need it (although it did add a bit of crunch) and felt like an afterthought. I would just as soon see that on the side.

Oh, and the sides are absolutely exquisite. My favorite remains the buttery, cheesy White Cheddar Grits ($6.00 for a very shareable portion), but the Mac and Cheese ($8.00), warmed in the smoker for a little additional flavor, is a close second. I also enjoyed the palatable second Slaw option in the Mustard Slaw ($4.00). The only hard pass I found was the muted flavors in the Cornbread - this you can go without.

Quibbles aside, Revival Smoked Meats is a west side treasure and must stop for anyone that finds themselves at Keg & Case. You will easily find it by following your nose.

    Amazing.

We had the Brisket sandwich and Pork Shoulder Sandwich. Both were Amazing! They both had interesting toppings like coleslaw, sweet pickles, etc. which at first I wasn't sure if, but once you bit into it, it was mouth watering good. Each came with a different kind of coleslaw.

The meat, beans and rice could have been a meal of its own. Probably the best beans and rice I've had.

And the Banana Pudding was made fresh to order and very delectable.

There's going to be a line. But it took us about 15 minutes bwas worth every minute of it!

    A must try place!

I am a HUGE fan of the brick and mortar Revival, so I have been dying to check out their sister store, Revival Smoked Meats for awhile. Located inside the Keg and Case Market, the line at Revival Smoked Meats speaks to the reputation of their delicious southern BBQ food.

The menu isn't huge, it features a variety of meats they smoke in house, either by the pound or as a sandwich. When we went, there was pastrami, brisket, pork shoulder, and ham. They also features a few of the sides that are favorites at their main restaurant, like white cheddar grits (amazing), collard greens (to die for), mac and cheese (a fan favorite)!

For our meal, we got a half pound of brisket and a side of rice and beans. While it looked and smelled amazing, the taste was just okay. The rice and beans was not flavorful at all and the rice was over cooked so much that it was mushy. The brisket had pretty good flavor, but we couldn't eat a lot of of it because it was so fatty and chewy. Unfortunate since the food is not cheap.

Would I come back? Yes. I am a total Revival fan, so maybe this was just a bad night. Clearly their food is outstanding (it's the talk of the town!) but for me, the fried chicken remains king.
